I have been running groups with 5th Edition since June 2014. Now to adapt it to Middle-earth...
Remember, there is very limited seating. The convention is still free and open to the public, but you MUST RSVP IN ORDER TO ATTEND. TolkienMoot XI July 17-19 - RSVP Today! Just a reminder that the next Spokane Eä Tolkien Society Meeting will be Saturday June 14th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Pacific Time at the north Rocket Bakery on Hastings near Mead High School, 319 W. Hastings Road.

A 5th stream has been added to Middle-earth Radio. This is a shoutcast listed stream and runs at the higher quality 160 kbps (many stations are only running at 128 kbps or less). This stream is a variety of both music and talk.

Greetings All, some more updates for the Magic in Middle-earth 3.5 rules, especially beginning work separating Shadow from Taint, and defining the Shadow Points mechanics.
I made some significant changes to portions of the Races & Cultures book, notably Dwarves and Elves, especially Elves. Many of these changes are based from feedback and observations of the current play testing groups I am running.
Now includes spell lists A through M (and then some). Now includes second draft proposal for feats that help reduce broadcast and residue.
In addition to hundreds of other changes in the previous 6 versions I put out this week, here are some other refinements (besides now having all PH spells listed from A through G)...

The Eä Role Playing Game System Basic Ruels, is a basic system for Tolkien RPG - Tolkien Role Playing Gaming in Middle-earth and beyond. All the notes and changes from the latest game testing have now been merged into the latest version of the Character Sheet and the Player's Guide. Changes are still being made to the GM's manual. The latest Players Manual and Character Sheet are now available for download.
We had a productive game testing session Thursday. I am merging all the comments, tweaks, updates, and fixes.
Other Minds Magazine, Issue #12 has been published! This time, we have four excellent contributions, dealing with a broad range of Middle-earth topics. The purpose of Other Minds Magazine is to provide Tolkien-related content of interest to Tolkien enthusiasts of all kinds and more specifically, information usable by those who love to use role playing games to enjoy the many facets of J.R.R. Tolkien's imaginary universe containing Middle-earth, Númenor, Endor, Arda and all of Eä, using whatever game system desired.
Episode 35 of Middle-earth Talk Radio was broadcast live from the Tolkien Moot VII convention in Spokane, Washington, USA, with a live "studio" audience, and live Internet audience listening to the simulcast audio and viewing the video, while posting and answering questions from the local audience and the live chat room. Special guest co-host this year was Brian Huseland of the Inland Empire Tolkien Society.

It has been a bit of a long hiatus, but a fair bit of progress has been made. I finally managed to upload some pieces that I updated a while ago, and added some other tweaks recently. They are all now on the http://www.earpg.com website in the Documents section ready for download and feedback in the forum...
The new GM's guidebook now available. The old Basic rulebook has been split in twain into separate Players guide and GM's guide. Many changes to the book made, equipment lists, action and combat system changes, and areas asking for community feedback (please post suggestions in the forum).

After some initial play testing, a number of significant changes were made. The core rulebook has been split into 2 separate books, the Players rulebook, and the Gamemasters rulebook. Many enhancements and changes to details and some mechanics after initial play test. Also looking for additional community feedback. Please post in the forum your suggestions.
